Launch of  Working Together: Trade Union and Co-operative Innovations for Precarious Work 20th March 2018, 12-16.30 in the Main Hall at the Urdd, Cardiff.

Two years ago we published a report on the scope for freelancers to come together through co-operatives, Not Alone, pointing to successful models around the world. Following the Taylor Review on modern employment practices, interest in co-operative and wider social economy models is high. At the same time, never has the idea of ‘decent work’ been more pressing. We are launching a further report by the same authors, freelancers themselves, and colleagues from the Co-operative College, on the scope for partnership with trade unions around key innovations in the field and in the new and emerging co-operative sector. You are invited to join us at this ground-breaking event. Participants will include freelancers, freelancer co-operatives, researchers, co-operators, trade unions and key partners around today’s world of work.

Speakers include:

  • Ed Mayo – Secretary General – Co-operatives UK
  • Derek Walker – Chief Executive – The Wales Co-operative Centre
  • Simon Parkinson – Principal Co-operative College

Lansio Gweithio Gyda’n Gilydd: Dulliau Arloesi Undebau Llafur a Chwmnïau Cydweithredol ar gyfer Gwaith Ansicr 20 Mawrth 2018, 12-16.30 yn y Brif Neuadd yng Urdd, Caerdydd.

Ddwy flynedd yn ôl gwnaethom gyhoeddi adroddiad ar y cyfle i weithwyr llawrydd ddod at ei gilydd drwy gwmnïau cydweithredol, sef Not Alone, gan gyfeirio at fodelau llwyddiannus o bob cwr o’r byd. Yn dilyn Adolygiad Taylor o arferion cyflogaeth modern , mae diddordeb mewn cwmnïau cydweithredol a modelau economi gymdeithasol ehangach yn uchel. Ar yr un pryd, mae’r syniad o ‘waith da’ wedi dod yn bwysicach fyth. Rydym yn lansio adroddiad arall gan yr un awduron, gweithwyr llawrydd eu hunain, a chydweithwyr o’r Coleg Cydweithredol, ar y cyfle i weithio mewn partneriaeth ag undebau llafur ynghylch dulliau arloesi allweddol yn y maes ac yn y sector cydweithredol newydd ac sy’n dod i’r amlwg. Fe’ch gwahoddir i ymuno â ni yn y digwyddiad arloesol hwn. Bydd cyfranogwyr yn cynnwys gweithwyr llawrydd, gweithwyr llawrydd cwmnïau cydweithredol, ymchwilwyr, cydweithredwyr, undebau llafur a phartneriaid allweddol o fyd gwaith heddiw.

Bydd y siaradwyr yn cynnwys:

  • Ed Mayo – Ysgrifennydd Cyffredinol – Co-operatives UK
  • Derek Walker – Cyfarwyddwr Gweithredol – Canolfan Cydweithredol Cymru
  • Simon Parkinson – Pennaeth y Coleg Cydweithredol

I gael rhagor o fanylion, ewch i Eventbrite.
